Position Summary
The Public Information Specialist 1, with the oversight and supervision of the Assistant Manager of Communications & Outreach and the Communications Program Coordinator, will work collaboratively to design and produce multimedia content to support the work of the Communications & Outreach (C&O) team and the mission of the New York State Teachers' Retirement System (NYSTRS).

Minimum Qualifications
EITHER: 1) Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list; OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having permanent competitive service as a Public Information Specialist 1 (SG-18); OR 3) Eligible for transfer under the provisions of the Civil Service Law by virtue of having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.

This position is subject to a hybrid work schedule.
Work Environment, Travel, and Physical Demands
Physical demands include the carry and set up of audio-video gear at NYSTRS' main office, as well as off-site events on an as needed basis.
